It has been an honor for me to be in the massage therapy field for 16 years. I have met and worked with so many great clients over the years, and I am continually learning from each and every one. From the student athletes who are striving to go to state and national competitions, to the local athletes who are looking to set a new personal record, to the parents who want to stay healthy to keep up with their kids. I enjoy creating relationships with my clients and working together as a team to help them reach whatever goal they have set for themselves.
As a massage therapist I feel that it is so important to stay active for both or physical and mental health. And in today's world, where so many of us are tied to our computers and cell phones, it is even more important that we make a conscious effort to get outside (or to the gym) to get the exercise that our mind and body need. Of course, in order to stay active and doing the things that we love, it is also necessary to take care of our body in other ways. And that is where massage therapy comes into play. Without healthy and pain free muscles, it wouldn't be possible to engage in the many activies that help us live happy and longer lives.
Not only have I been on the giving end of the massage profession, but I have also spent many hours on the table myself. I have completed 5 marathons and numerous half marathons, and I have felt the aches and pains that come along with that training. I know first hand how well massage therapy fits into a healthy and active lifestyle.
